Purification
Here is a simple step-by-step guide on how to purify ones self according to the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ï·º.

Wudū
To perform wudūʾ, begin by making the intention in your heart to purify yourself for the purpose of worshipping Allah, then wash your hands up to the wrists, rinse your mouth and nose, and wash your face. Next, wash your right arm up to and including the elbow, followed by your left arm. Wipe over your entire head once, including the ears, then wash your right foot up to and including the ankle, followed by your left foot, ensuring that water reaches between the toes and all areas that need to be washed.

Tayammum
To perform tayammum, make the intention in your heart to purify yourself for prayer, then place or lightly wipe both hands on clean earth (or a suitable natural surface). Wipe your face with your hands, then wipe your hands including the back of them.
Tayammum is performed when water is unavailable or when using water would cause harm.

Ghusl
To perform ghusl, begin by making the intention in your heart to purify yourself, then wash your hands and remove any impurities from the body. Perform wudūʾ as you would for prayer, then pour water over your head, ensuring that it reaches the roots of the hair. Wash the entire body thoroughly, beginning with the right side and then the left, making sure that water reaches every part of the body.
